By default, eBlocker will use the Tor network to access the Internet. Instead you can use a much faster Perfect Privacy VPN connection. This step-by-step manual describes how to setup your eBlocker with Perfect Privacy.
Note that you cannot use a Tor and VPN connection at the same time.
Downloading the OpenVPN configuration
Download the archive with the configuration files and unpack it.
Download View alternate downloads
Navigate to the eBlocker interface in your browser. You can reach that by visiting the site http://setup.eblocker.com.
You will be greeted by the welcome page. Click on Continue.
Accept the license agreement by checking the box and then click on Next.
Enter your timezone and click Continue.
Enter the serial number of your eBlocker which is printed on the backside of the device.
Enter your eBlocker license key.
The initial setup is now finished.
If you don't have a Perfect Privacy account yet, you can get one by clicking on More Info. If you already have an account click on No, Thanks.
Should there be a eBlocker software update available, you will be notified at this point. If that is the case you should update it first before proceeding.
In the main menu click on IP-Anonymization
Go to the tab VPN Network and click the button New VPN Provider.
In the next windows just click on Next.
Click on Select File for Upload and choose a location from the previously downloaded VPN configuration, for example Oslo.conf.
You don't need to change anything under Configuration Details, just click on Continue.
In the next window enter your Perfect Privacy credentials.
Enter a name for the newly created VPN connection. In order to be able to use the TrackStop filters, ensure "Use VPN provider name server (if available)" is enabled and activate the desired TrackStop filters on the configuration page in the customer area! Click on Save.
Test that the VPN connection works correctly by clicking on Test Connection.
