Change of the hoster for the privacy server Stockholm1

Nov 1, 2013

We have replaced the privacy server Stockholm1 with a new server. The new server is located in the former nuclear bunker of the hoster Bahnhof, and is again connected via an unmetered 100Mbps port. New DNS records added

Oct 4, 2013

We have added a new DNS record for our privacy servers: “rnd”. With it, on servers with multiple IP addresses, it is possible to access the server via a randomly chosen IP address. E.g. with “rnd.lu1.gigabit.perfect-privacy.com” the server “lu1.gigabit” via a randomly chosen of it’s IP addresses. Or with “rnd.lu.gigabit.perfect-privacy.com” a random server of the group “lu.gigabit” via a randomly chosen IP address. This allows for using proxy services with a random exit IP address (inbound IP address = outbound IP address).

TOR service currently disabled

Sep 8, 2013

We were forced to shutdown TOR on our servers because of continuing attacks on this service. The attacks could be related to the latest problems TOR is having with someone trying to bring a botnet online: https://blog.torproject.org/blog/ We are experiencing up to one gigabit/s of incoming traffic to our middle nodes. Some datacenters even shut down routing to our servers because they thought it was a DDOS attack. However, the traffic ends the moment we restart the TOR daemon. So this is not someone sending random traffic to the TOR port. There is a new TOR version available as of yesterday, but it is not in the repositories yet, we will update to this version asap as it might fix this problem.
